Identifying the right model
- Sole view with RESCUE DUAL lettering over TaylorMade script, a round red-ringed weight port at the rear toward the toe, 19° on the toe end of the sole and a 3 by the hosel, on a steel shaft.
What to check before using the reference
- The graphite and steel builds share the same lengths (40.5, 40, 39.5 and 39 in) at D3; left-handed heads are listed at 19° and 22° only. Stock shafts are the Hybrid 65 graphite (S, R, M, and a 57 g L) and T-Step Ultralite steel (S, R) with TaylorMade TGT grips.
- TaylorMade describes Movable Weight Technology in a hybrid; the 2005 “Rescues” sheet repeats this table, and the Rescue Dual TP sheet lists a different head with 14° to 22° lofts and flatter lies.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
