Identifying the right model
- The sole photo shows a compact black sole with white RBZ lettering, a round screw weight on the toe side of the lettering, a Speed Pocket slot along the face side, TaylorMade script along the rear edge toward the heel, a yellow STAGE 2 band on the white crown edge and a 3 badge with 19° beneath it above the hosel.
What to check before using the reference
- Stock build on the sheet: Matrix RocketFuel 65 shaft (S, R, M) with an RBZ .600 47 g grip at D4; the 5 and 6 heads are listed right-handed only and custom options are marked right-handed only.
- The 2012 RocketBallz Rescue sheet lists the same lofts and lies with 115, 110, 110 and 105 cc heads a quarter inch shorter, its 28° head numbered 7 rather than 6.
- The second page of the same sheet lists the RBZ Stage 2 Tour Rescue: 2 16.5°, 3 18.5°, 4 20.5° and 5 23.5°.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
