Identifying the right model

  • Sole view with r7 lettering and a yellow st mark, TaylorMade script, two oval TLC ports (rear and heel) and a 3 by the hosel.

What to check before using the reference

  • Five heads are listed (TS 13°, 3-wood 15°, 4-wood 16.5°, 5-wood 18°, 7-wood 21°) with graphite and steel lengths half an inch apart at D2; the 3-, 5- and 7-woods are marked left-handed and, per the sheet’s footnote, available in women’s left- and right-hand models 1 in shorter at C7.
  • TaylorMade describes Movable Weight Technology with two TLC ports (a 2 g and a 14 g cartridge) in a steel head shaped like the V Steel with a slightly shallower face; stock shafts are the REAX 70 FW graphite (X, S, R, M), REAX 60 FW (L) and DG lite steel (X, S, R) with a TaylorMade TGT grip.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
