Identifying the right model

  • Same sole artwork as the r7 425 (r7 over 425, yellow trim, TLC ports, 9.5 at the heel) with the TP shield crest added on the crown at the toe end.

What to check before using the reference

  • The TP lineup starts at 7.5° and stops at 10.5°, where the standard r7 425 runs 8.5° to 11.5°; left-handed heads are listed at 9.5° and 10.5°. TaylorMade notes a 1° open clubface alignment.
  • Stock shafts are the RE*AX 75 TP (D4), RE*AX 65 TP (D3) and RE*AX 55 TP (D2), each in X, S and R, with a TaylorMade TV 60R grip.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
