Identifying the right model

  • Small catalog photo: white crown, black sole with the red Adjustable Sole Plate marked N and O at the heel, R11S lettering and a 9 on the white heel section.

What to check before using the reference

  • The R11S is listed as a 460 cc head at a 59.5° lie, against the 2011 R11’s 440 cc and 60°; it adds a 12° head (right-handed only) and keeps 45.75 in and D4, with the Aldila RIP Phenom 60 (X, S, R, M) or Phenom 65 TP (X, S, R) shaft.
  • TaylorMade lists ±1.5° of loft adjustment with Flight Control Technology, five face-angle settings (±3°) on the Adjustable Sole Plate and Movable Weight Technology for the CG.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
