Identifying the right model

  • The sole photo shows a black sole with a lime-green M2 badge in the middle, TaylorMade script beneath it toward the heel, a round screw weight in the toe-side rear corner, GEOCOUSTIC lettering and lime stripes along the rear crown edge, a recessed strip along the face side and a white 9.5 badge above the hosel.

What to check before using the reference

  • The sheet also lists M2 women’s driver heads at 10.5° and 12°, right-handed only, 44.5 in at C9 with a Fujikura REAX 45 L shaft.
  • Stock build on the sheet: Fujikura Pro XLR8 56 shaft (X, S, R, A) with a TM Dual Feel 47 g grip at D3; the sheet describes a 6-layer carbon crown, Geocoustic sole shaping and a 4° loft sleeve with 12 settings.
  • TaylorMade’s 2019 archive column links an “M2 2019” driver sheet with the 9.5° and 10.5° heads at the same lie range, volume and length plus a women’s 12° head at 44.5 in; the 2016 M2 lists 9.5° and 10.5° at a 56° to 60° lie range.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
