Identifying the right model

  • The sole photo shows a compact black sole with a round weight marked 25 on a grey panel on the heel side, a second round weight on a grey panel at the toe end, TaylorMade script running down the middle, a white M1 with a gold 1 low on the heel side and a white 3 badge with 19° above the hosel.

What to check before using the reference

  • The #2 17° and #5 24° heads are listed right-handed only; the #3 and #4 are also left-handed.
  • Stock build on the sheet: Fujikura Pro 80 shaft (X, S, R, M) with a TM Lamkin Performance 360 52 g grip at D4; the sheet lists one 3 g and one 25 g movable weight and a 3° (±1.5°) loft sleeve.
  • The 2017 M1 Rescue sheet lists the same four lofts with a different lie range per head (57° to 61.5°) and 105 cc to 107 cc.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
