Identifying the right model

  • The sole photo shows a white crown edge with TaylorMade script at the top, a black sole with a red sliding weight on a rear track lettered HIGH and LOW across the middle, a black sliding weight on a front track lettered FADE and DRAW along the face side, 460 printed above the rear track toward the face, a white M1 with a gold 1 low toward the heel and a red 9.5 badge above the hosel.

What to check before using the reference

  • The same sheet lists the M1 430 head at 8.5°, 9.5° and 10.5°, right-handed only, 430 cc and 45.5 in; the 460 is left-handed at 9.5° and 10.5°.
  • Stock shafts on the sheet: Fujikura Pro 60 (X, S, R, M), Mitsubishi KuroKage TiNi Silver 60 (X, S, R) and Aldila Rogue Silver 70 (X, S) with a TM Lamkin Performance 360 52 g grip at D4; the T-Track holds a 15 g front and a 10 g back weight and the loft sleeve spans 4° (±2°).
  • TaylorMade’s M1 Special Edition sheet lists the same head in a red, white and blue colourway at 9.5° and 10.5°, right-handed only, 58° to 62°, 460 cc and 45.25 in with a Fujikura Speeder Evolution TS 661 shaft.
  • The 2017 M1 460 and 2018 M3 460 sheets print the same lofts, lie range and length.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
