Identifying the right model
- Seen from above, an all-black mallet with a C-shaped open back between two prongs, a short white line at the base of the opening and a black plumber’s neck at the heel.
What to check before using the reference
- PING describes the Tyne H as the twin-fork design paired with an Anser (plumber’s-neck) hosel; the 2023 Prime Tyne 4 (separate record) uses PING’s H4 hosel with 3/4-shaft offset.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
