Identifying the right model
- Seen from above, a black mallet whose ribbed top is crossed by a long white centre line between two short white marks at the front edge, with the shaft entering at the heel.
What to check before using the reference
- PING groups the Ketsch G with the Mundy and Tomcat 14 as its multi-material mallets (die-cast aluminium body on an investment-cast 304 stainless steel sole plate); the page describes a dual-density PEBAX insert, a ball-pickup sole and a trio of contrasting sight lines.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
