Identifying the right model

  • Seen from above, a satin-silver blade with a black sight line across a wide flange and a plumber’s neck at the heel; the back bumpers are squared and flat-topped.

What to check before using the reference

  • PING describes the Anser D’s deeper (“D”) profile as a hybrid between the Anser blade and a mallet, with a new glare-diffusing raw blast finish. The 2024 Anser 2 is a separate record.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
