Identifying the right model
- Seen from above, a black squared mallet with a round cut-out between two long white lines, a short white mark at the centre of the top rail, and a double-bend shaft at the heel.
What to check before using the reference
- PING describes the Tyne G by its trio of white lines, ball-width cavity floor and a ball-pickup centre cut-out that moves mass to the perimeter.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
