Identifying the right model
- Seen from above, a black mallet with a C-shaped open back between two prongs, a silver top rail with a short white line, and a short slanted neck at the heel.
What to check before using the reference
- PING describes the Prime Tyne 4’s twin forks and the platinum top line against the black cavity as colour blocking. PING’s page title is 2023 Prime Tyne 4 (URL tyne-4); the 2024 Tyne H (separate record) pairs the twin-fork head with an Anser hosel.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
