Identifying the right model

  • Mizuno’s photo lines up four black heads with the loft number (28, 25, 22, 19) on each back, FLI-HI along the sole edge and a wide, hybrid-like body that narrows as the loft rises.

What to check before using the reference

  • Mizuno lists right-handed 4 to 7 heads and left-handed 4 and 5 heads.
  • Mizuno’s table heads its columns “Loft Range” and “Lie Range” but prints one figure per head; the single values are recorded as published.
  • Mizuno files the JPX925 Fli-Hi under both its irons and its hybrids pages and describes it as a long-iron replacement built to the same shafts and specs as a JPX925 iron set.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
