How to identify this generation
- A satin forged cavity back with FORGED lettering along the top at the toe, a Callaway chevron badge beneath it and a small X badge low toward the hosel.
- The X Forged name also appears on these Callaway irons; compare their markings before using this chart: X Forged 25, X Forged Max (2025).
What to notice in the specifications
- Callaway Golf Pre-Owned titles the table “X-Forged (2013)”; the undated X-Forged listing in the same store is a different generation and is not covered here.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
Read our loft guide for a worked example of comparing the numbers, and our used iron checklist before relying on a seller's description.
